MAT 2

Description

MAT 2 is a noise insulation barrier material composite which exhibits excellent acoustic and airborne sound transmission reduction properties.

Application

MAT 2 is designed to improve the sound insulation of existing panels and structures which are typically made of wood, metals, and rigid plastics etc. The product can be fitted in intimate contact with the original panel or structure.

Benefits:
  • The product is free of lead and bitumen.
  • Easy to install.
  • Excellent acoustic performance.
  • Non-staining.
  • The acoustic barrier layer is a thermoplastic material and as such is fully recyclable depending on end use application.
  • Products are available in a variety of weights, thickness, and facings.
Composition:

MAT 2 is a 2ply laminated product consisting of the following.

  • Acoustic Barrier - 3mm (7.5kg/m²)
  • Absorber Layer - 9mm Closed Cell PE Foam
